INVITES MEN AND WOMEN FROM INDIAN CITIZENS AS PER CITIZENSHIP ACT 1955 TO BE A PART OF THE INDIAN AIR FORCE AS COMMISSIONED OFFICERS IN FLYING AND GROUND DUTY (TECHNICAL AND NON-TECHNICAL) BRANCHES
The Air Force conducts the written test, Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) twice each year. The aspirants, who are dreaming to start their career in the Air Force, should appear for the exam. The minimum qualification of applying for the AFCAT exam is for the graduated candidates. Once they qualify their exam, they can start their career as a commissioned officer in ground duty (technical), flying and ground duty (non-technical)
Expected Age Limit:- 20 to 26 year

Application Fees:
- To pay the application fee, the aspirants can submit it online (either by credit card or debit card or net banking etc).
- The application fee is 250 Rs for all category candidates.

Allowances:-
In addition to pay, allowances are applicable based on the
nature of duty/ place of posting and it includes Flying, Technical, Field Area, Special Compensatory (Hill area), Special Force, Siachen, Island Special Duty, Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Area and Remote Locality Allowance.
Nationality: Only the Indian Citizens are eligible for the exam. Also check AFCAT Eligibility Criteria 2021.
A. Permanent Commission (PC) only for Male
The interested aspirants will be able to join as a PC Officer. They can continue their services till superannuation age with respect to the IAF Branch and according to their rank.
B. Short Service Commission (SSC) for both Male and Female
Ground Duty (Technical) : BE/BTech ( all branches eligible including civil also )
- Date of birth of the candidate should be within 2nd January 1996 and 1st January 2002. Therefore, the age of the candidate must be within 20 to 26 years as on 1st July 2022.
- One who has completed graduation degree/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/Technology of four years duration from a recognized university and minimum 60% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level is eligible to apply.
- The candidates can join Ground duty technical branch as Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) and Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) for which candidates should have graduation degree in following streams:

- Computer Science and Engineering/Technology
- Communication Engineering
- Computer Engineering & Application
- Electrical Engineering

Flying Branch:
- The interested candidates should complete their graduation and should get 60% marks in aggregate and should have Physics and Mathematics in 10+2 level. Apart from this, if the aspirants completed their BE or B.Tech from any renowned University or from Institution, can also apply for the exam.
- Age limit: The age group of the aspirants should be less than 24 years.
Ground Duty (Technical branch):
- The applicants should complete their four years of graduation in engineering or in technology.
- They need to get at least 60% score in both A and B Section under Aeronautical Society of Indian or Associate Membership of Indian institute Engineers.
- The age group between 18 to 26 years, can only apply for the designation.
Ground Duty (Non-Technical branch):
- The aspirants should complete their graduation in any subject with at least a 60% score.
- They also require to achieve 60% score in both A and B Section under Aeronautical Society of Indian or Associate Membership of Indian institute Engineers.
- The age group between 20 to 26 years, can only apply for the designation.

AFCAT 2021 Selection Process
- 2 STAGE CBT EXAMS, student have to score higher than cutoff marks for selection
- STAGE1: In stage I, the candidates will need to qualify for the screening test.
- The screening test in stage I will consist of an officer intelligence rating test, discussion test and picture perception test.
- Only the qualified candidates of stage I will get the opportunity to take part in the stage II test
- The stage II test will consist of Psychological Test and Group for testing the interactive ability and personal conversation with the Interviewing Officer.
- The entire procedure will take place in 5 days.
- The qualified aspirants from the stage II will undergo the medical examination.
- At the end, the final merit list of the candidates will be made.
