- There will be negative marking for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Examination for which there is a penalty of ¼ or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question.
- IBPS Clerk 2020 Exam will comprise of Multiple Choice Questions in both Mains and Prelims.
- The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.

Important point to note
- Please note that all the details mentioned in the online application include the candidate’s name, category, date of birth, address, mobile number, email ID, examination center, state in which the application is made to participate, preferences for the participating organizations. Registration etc. Considered as final and no change / modification will be allowed after submission of online application form. Therefore, candidates are advised to fill the online application form with utmost care as no correspondence will be done regarding the change of details. IBPS will not be responsible for any result arising out of omission to furnish incorrect and incomplete details in the application or for providing necessary details in the application form.
- Candidates are requested to ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria, the date of eligibility (01.09.2020 for age and 23.09.2020 for educational qualification).

How to Apply – IBPS Recruitment 2020
Candidates can apply online only from 02 September 2020 to 23 September 2020 (Reopened 23 Oct 2020 to 06 Nov 2020) and no other mode of application will be accepted.
Pre-requisites for applying online
Before applying online, candidates must-
(i) Scan them:
– Picture (4.5 cm × 3.5 cm)
– signature
– Left thumb impression (If a candidate is not holding the thumb of the left hand, he / she can use the thumb of his / her right hand. If both the thumbs are missing, the anterior part of one of the fingers of the left hand from the obverse. Should be taken. If there are no fingers of the left hand, the forearm of one finger of the right hand should start at the obverse. If no fingers are available, the left toe mark may be taken. In all cases where the left Thumb impression is not uploaded, candidate should specify finger name and left / right hand or toe details in the uploaded document). – A hand-written declaration (text below) {Candidates who cannot write can get the text of the declaration declared and thumb impression of their left hand (if not even signed) of the typed declaration Keep it down and upload the document. Specifications}. Ensuring that all these scanned documents follow the required specifications as given in Annex III to this advertisement.
(ii) Signatures in the capital letter will not be accepted.
(iii) The left thumb impression should be thoroughly scanned and not stained.
(iv) The text for the hand written declaration is as follows –
“, I _______ (name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is true, true and valid. I will submit supporting documents when needed. “
(v) The above hand-written declaration should be in the handwriting and English of the candidate itself and not in the capital letter. If it is written by someone else or in another language, the application will be considered invalid.
(vi) Keep the necessary details / documents ready for online payment of the required application fee / information fee.
(vii) has a valid personal email ID, which should be kept active till the completion of this round of the normal recruitment process. IBPS can send call letter for examination etc. through registered email ID. Under no circumstances, a candidate should share / mention with another person’s email ID. If the candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he / she should create his / her new email ID and maintain that email account before applying on-line.
Online application process
(1) The candidates must first go to the IBPS website www.ibps.in and click on the home page to open the link “CRP Clerk” and then click on the option “Online for CRP-Clerks (CRP) here Click.-Clerks-X) “to open the on-line application form.
(2) Candidates will have to click on “Click here New Registration” to register their application by entering their basic information in the online application form. After that a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. The candidate should note the provisional registration number and password. An email and SMS indicating the Provisional Registration Number and Password will be sent. They can reopen the saved data using the provisional registration number and password and edit the details if necessary.
(3) Candidates are required to upload their – photograph – signature – left thumb impression – a hand written declaration form.
(4) Candidates are advised to fill the online application carefully as no change in any data filled in the online application will be possible. Before submitting the online application, the candidates are advised to use the “SAVE AND NEXT” facility to verify the details in the online application form and modify the same if necessary. No change is allowed after clicking the final submit button. Visually impaired candidates are responsible for verifying the online application form correctly and carefully verifying / receiving it to ensure that it is all correct before submission and no change is possible after submission.
(5) The candidate should indicate in the online application in which state he applies for provisional allocation for selection. The choice to exercise once will be irreversible.
Mode of Payment
Candidates only have the option to pay the required fee / payment fee through online mode:
(i) Candidates should fill the details in the on-line application very carefully at appropriate places and click on the “Final Subject” button at the end of the on-line application format. Before pressing the “Final Submit” button, candidates are advised to verify each field filled in the application. The name of the candidate or his / her father / husband etc. should be spelled correctly in the application as it appears in the certificate / mark sheet. Any change / alteration found may disqualify the candidature.
If the candidate is unable to fill the application form in one go, he can save the previously entered data. When the data is saved, a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. The candidate should note the provisional registration number and password. An email and SMS indicating the Provisional Registration Number and Password will be sent. They can reopen the saved data using the provisional registration number and password and edit the details if necessary. Once the application is completely filled, the candidate should submit the data.
(ii) The application form is integrated with the payment gateway and the payment process can be completed by following the instructions.
(iii) Payment can be done using debit card (RuPay / Visa / MasterCard / Maestro), credit card, internet banking, IMPS, cash card / mobile wallet by providing the information asked on the screen.
(iv) After the final submission, an additional page of the application form is displayed in which candidates can follow the instructions and fill the required details.
(v) If the online transaction is not completed successfully, the candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the application fee / information fee online.
(vi) On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt will be generated.
(vii) Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form. Please note that online transactions may not be successful if the same cannot be generated.
