
NTPC Diploma Trainee Syllabus and Exam Pattern
Knowing the syllabus and the exam pattern is the prerequisite for the best preparation for any competitive examination. NTPC will soon release the notifications for various posts as NTPC Diploma Trainee. The candidates will have to qualify two online tests in order to be NTPC Diploma Trainee qualified. The first stage will cover the topics of General Awareness, General English, Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude. The second stage will be an online technical test based on the respective disciplines. Candidates will have to obtain the qualifying marks in both the exams in order to fill the vacant posts. NTPC Diploma Trainee Exam Pattern- Stage 1
The NTPC Diploma Trainee Exam Pattern of Stage 1 has been given below:

- The mode of the test will be online.
- The questions will be objective type.
- There will be 120 questions and each question will weigh one mark.
- The total marks will be 120 marks.
- For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- The paper will be for a duration of 2 hours.
- The minimum qualifying marks for the candidates from the General category is 40% marks, and 30% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwBD candidates.
- The candidates will be shortlisted @ 1:10 for 2 stages Online Test (Technical).
- There will be no weightage to the online aptitude test in the final selection.

- The mode of the test will be online.
- The questions will be objective types related to the specific discipline.
- There will be 120 questions and each question will weigh one mark.
- The total marks will be 120 marks.
- For every correct answer 1 mark will be awarded. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
- The paper will be for a duration of 2 hours.
- The qualifying marks is 40% marks in case of General category and 30% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.
- An offer of appointment will be issued based on merit.
- No skill test will be conducted.
